Means of transportation between Krakow and the Balice airport
The Krakow's airport is situated on the Balice outskirts of the city, just ten miles west from its center and is a fifteen minute drive or so from the city center.
Shuttle train service links Krakows John Paul II International Airport in Balice with the Krakow Glowny main rail station in the city center. On average, trains run every thirty minutes between 4 am and midnight. A single one-way ticket costs an equivalent of less than five euro. One can purchase tickets on the train or from a ticket machine at the terminal. Trains depart from a stop some 300 meters from the International Terminal T1.
Taxi stands are situated by the passenger terminals. Daytime fare for a ride to the center of Krakow should not exceed the equivalent of 20 euro, and 35 euro anywhere within the city limits but unauthorized taxis may be costlier.
